This article specifies a device that was never named that way, and also isn't a direct prototype of Symbiface2. The Symbiface2 contains the IDE-Interfacing logic of the CPC-IDE, sure. The name "Symbiface-1" was just created some time ago (probably by tfm, found by reading the old mailinglist-archives) , to get it into line with Symbiface2. As there is already an article describing the CPC-IDE and its history, i suggest to delete this article.
