View source for DMP 2000 - re-inking the ribbon

As of 2023 ink ribbons for the [[Amstrad/Schneider DMP2000 Printer|DMP-2000]] are no longer available. 

If the ribbon is still functioning, it's possible to re-ink the ribbon with some oil based ink. 

The process is quick and easy:

* get some oil based ink, e.g. "Pelikan 351353 - stamp pad ink with oil"
* open the right plastic case of the ribbon
* soak the sponge with ink (use gloves!)

* put everything back together
* print several pages full of text until the ribbon is soaked again with ink

To speed up the process, you can use a small sponge, soak it with ink and press it against the ribbon while the printer prints.
